2020 Township Comprehensive Plan- Final Draft Review

Over the last 12 months, the Township, with the assistance of the Chester County Planning Commission has been updating the Township’s Comprehensive Plan.  The plan was last updated in 2001 and amended in 2006.

Last week the Township Planning Commission recommended to the Board of Supervisor’s that the updated Comprehensive Plan be adopted by the Township. That recommendation was reviewed at the Board of Supervisors meeting held of September 23rd.

For the revised Comprehensive Plan to become adopted it must first go through a 45 day review period (called Act 247) The Board authorized the start of that 45 day review period and at the same time scheduled a hearing to be held on November 11, 2019 at 7pm to consider the formal adoption of the plan.

A draft copy of the plan, per the Act 247 review process, will be sent to the Chester County Planning Commission, the Pottstown Metropolitan Regional Planning Commission, the OJR School District and all neighboring townships of North Coventry.

Below is a link to download the draft copy to the plan. Review comments will be accepted in writing prior to the hearing or can be presented verbally by the public at the hearing.
