NORTH COVENTRY TOWNSHIP 2020 ROAD PROGRAM
ANNUAL CHIP SEALING OF TOWNSHIP ROADS TO BEGIN JUNE 23, 2020
North Coventry Township has contracted with Asphalt Maintenance Solutions, LLC to perform our annual chip seal program beginning Tuesday, June 23, 2020 for up to a five day period, weather dependent. If rain is in the forecast, the schedule will be adjusted.
The following streets are scheduled for chip seal: Fawn Lane, Marshall Drive, Melville Drive, Kline Avenue, Root Avenue, Pearl Street, Coyne Alley, Mt. Zion Avenue, Lindberg Avenue, Park Avenue, Scherfel Boulevard, Tyson Avenue, Worth Boulevard, E. Keller Road, Brown Street, and W. Meadowbrook Lane. Please remain vigilant of notification signs posted in advance and remove cars from the street for the duration of the project.
What is Chip Seal? A chip seal is an application of a binder in the form of an emulsion or hot spray and an application of an aggregate material. Chip seals provide a protective road coating and extend pavement life, resulting in an improved roadway surface which will cost less to maintain in the long run. Once the contractor has applied and compacted the material the road is swept to remove loose material.
We appreciate your cooperation and patience during the course of this project as we work to improve the condition of Township roads. If you have any questions please contact the Township at 610-323-1694.
