NORTH COVENTRY TOWNSHIP ZONING HEARING BOARD
The Zoning Hearing Board of North Coventry Township, Chester County, PA, will meet on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., at the North Coventry Township Building, 845 South Hanover Street, Pottstown, PA, to hold Public Hearings on the following Applications:
(1) No. 2023-04: Richard A. Martin, Jr. and Richard A. Martin, Sr., owners of 1253 West Cedarville Road, propose to construct a single-family, detached dwelling with an accessory garage to replace a dwelling that was destroyed by fire. To proceed, owners require a Variance to Section 370-14.C(3)(e) to permit a rear yard setback of 35 feet where 75 feet is required. Owners have also requested an interpretation that they are entitled to continue an existing non-conformity by placing the proposed accessory garage within the side yard setback with the same encroachment as the previous existing dwelling pursuant to Section 370-122.B, or, in the alternative, a Variance to permit a side yard setback of 43 feet where 50 feet is required. The property is located in the RC (Resource Conservation) Zoning District, is identified as Chester County Tax Parcel No. 17-3-38.3, and is approximately 3.6 acres in size.
(2) No. 2023-05: Jay C. Wissler and Susan G. Wissler are the owners of property located at 1530 S. Hanover Street which is located in the R1 Zoning District. The property is identified as Tax Parcel No. 17-7-67 and is 21.4 acres in size. Owners propose to reopen a golf driving range that has been closed for years. To proceed, owners require a use Variance from Section 370-16.
Interested parties may appear at one or both hearings and will be heard. The Zoning Hearing Board reserves the right to conduct such other business as may properly come before it.
