North Coventry Township Board of Supervisors Approve 2023-2024 Deer Management Program Rules & Regulations

North Coventry Township, [06-27-2023] – The North Coventry Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting on June 12, 2023, and took action regarding the approval of the 2023-2024 Deer Management Program Rules and Regulations.

Chairman Jim Marks announced that the Deer Management Committee has diligently worked on revising the rules and regulations of the Deer Management Program for the 2023-2024 season. He emphasized that while there have been no substantive changes to the program, there have been modifications to the dates involved. The committee’s dedication and expertise ensured that the program’s integrity remain intact.

One notable point of continuity that Chairman Marks highlighted is the prohibition of hunting on Sundays in the Township. This restriction has been upheld consistently as part of the program. The North Coventry Township Board of Supervisors recognizes the importance of maintaining the recreational value of our parks and is committed to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all residents.

During the meeting, the Board of Supervisors opened the floor for questions from the attendees. However, there were no inquiries raised.

Supervisor Bill Soumis proposed the motion to authorize the approval of the Deer Management Program 2023-2024 Rules and Regulations. Vice-Chairman Rick Scheler seconded the motion, and there was unanimous agreement among the Board of Supervisors. The motion was subsequently carried.
