Harvey F. Greenawalt, Jr., 71, of Pottstown, husband of Teresa (Morin) Greenawalt, passed away on Sunday July 14, 2024 at the Pottstown Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, PA, he was a son of Doris (Retallick) Greenawalt, Pottstown, and the late Harvey F. Greenawalt, Sr.

Harvey served in the United States Navy Submarine Service from 1972 to 1978.

Harvey spent much of his career as a Quality Assurance Engineer. His expertise enabled him to provide specialized training to personnel around the world. He was also a local business owner, providing quality assurance staffing to major pharmaceutical businesses. After his retirement, it was his honor and privilege to work as a Veterans Service Officer for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, helping fellow veterans apply for and receive the benefits they earned.

Harvey was a North Coventry Township supervisor for eighteen years and was integral in initiating the creation of Coventry Woods Park.

Surviving besides his mother and wife is a son, Jacob Greenawalt and his fiancé Aubriana, Phoenixville; a daughter, Laine Pitcairn and her husband Samuel, Pittsburgh, and a sister, Vicki Miller, New Holland, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing Friday July 19, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King Street, Pottstown followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M.
