North Coventry Police Department Donates $5,000 to Coventry Food Pantry Following Successful “Pizza and Police” Event

North Coventry, PA  — The North Coventry Police Department is proud to announce the success of its annual “Pizza and Police” community event, held on December 15, 2024, at Gennaro’s Pizza. This year’s event saw strong community participation, with between 150 and 170 pizzas sold to benefit the Coventry Food Pantry.

Officer Vic Machese, who helped lead the event, reported a significant increase in proceeds from the previous year. As a result, the Department is pleased to present a $5,000 donation to the Coventry Food Pantry—five times the amount raised in 2023.

“The continued support from our community and local businesses makes events like this possible,” said Officer Machese. “We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with residents while supporting an important local resource.”

Ginny Wade, Director of the Coventry Food Pantry, attended the presentation to accept the donation. She expressed her gratitude to both the Department and the Township Board, noting the increased demand for the pantry’s services and the vital role community support plays in meeting that need.
