Board of Supervisors
North Coventry Township is governed by a Board of Supervisors, which is composed of five elected officials who serve six-year terms. The Board of Supervisors is responsible for making policy decisions, enacting ordinances, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the township.
The township also has a number of advisory boards and commissions that provide recommendations and guidance to the Board of Supervisors on various issues. These include the Planning Commission, Parks & Recreation Commission, Open Space Review Board, Historical Commission, Environmental Advisory Council, and Zoning Hearing Board.
North Coventry Township has a strong commitment to providing quality services and amenities to its residents. The township maintains its own police department and supports a volunteer fire company and ambulance service. In addition, the township provides public works services including road and park maintenance among a range of other services.
The township also places a high priority on community involvement and engagement. The Board of Supervisors holds regular meetings that are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend and provide feedback. The township also hosts a number of community events throughout the year, including the Coventry Wood Festival and Annual Bonfire.
