At a recent Board of Supervisors meeting, the Township approved the purchase of replacement bleachers for Riverbend Park to enhance seating for park visitors and community events. Chairman Jim Marks shared that a quote was obtained from Uline, a COSTARS-approved vendor, for new bleachers with seating capacity for up to 30 people. The cost of the replacement is $8,800.00. Township Manager Erica Batdorf confirmed that the Township Road Crew will complete the installation in-house. Supervisor Hipple asked whether the expense would be covered by open space funds. Manager Batdorf clarified that the cost was already budgeted under the general fund allocated for Riverbend Park improvements this year. The motion to approve the purchase was made by Vice-Chairman Rick Scheler and seconded by Supervisor Hipple. The motion passed unanimously. The new bleachers are part of the Township’s ongoing efforts to maintain and improve local parks and recreational facilities for residents and visitors alike.
