Join Levi Johnson of the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s bat
biologists for an evening webinar of PA’s favorite flying mammals!
Bats make up the second largest mammal group in the world, so
there is a lot to learn! This presentation will explore the lives and
biology of bats around the globe and in the state of Pennsylvania.
Starting with a general life history we will learn about the biology
(physiology, hibernation, echolocation) and role of bats within the
environment. We will then narrow our discussion to talk about the
native species of bats in the Commonwealth, how the PGC studies
and manages bats, and finish off with a discussion about bats in
communities, including how to best support local bat populations!
