Hanover Street Help is on its Way — PennDOT Awards $5.9 Million Contract for Road Resurfacing in Chester County Which Includes Hanover Street
We’re pleased to share that the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has awarded a $5,977,777contract to Allan Myers, based in Worcester, Montgomery County, for an extensive roadway improvement project in Chester County.
Under this initiative, 22 miles of state highways will be repaired and resurfaced using bituminous material, improving road safety and providing a smoother ride for motorists. The project is fully funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is scheduled to begin summer 2025, with completion expected by summer 2026.
The following Chester County roadways are included in the resurfacing project:

Saint Matthews Road – from Route 401 to Pughtown Road in West Vincent Township

Phoenixville Pike – from Saunders Lane to U.S. 30 in West Goshen, West Whiteland, and East Whiteland Townships

Hanover Street – from Krepps Lane to River Road in North Coventry Township – Starting dates have not yet been determined. The Township will provide those dates when notified.

Kaolin Road – from Southwood Road to Schoolhouse Lane in New Garden and Kennett Townships

Marshalton-Thorndale Road – from Louanna Avenue to Business U.S. 30 in Caln Township

West Chester Road/Embreeville Road/Hazelwood Avenue – from Bailey Road to Marshalton-Thorndale Road in West Bradford and Caln Townships

Hibernia Road – from Wagontown Road to U.S. 322 in West Brandywine Township

Marshall Road – from Route 282 to Chalfont Road in Wallace Township
