North Coventry, PA – June 27, 2023 – The North Coventry Township Board of Supervisors convened for their regular meeting on June 12, 2023, to address various matters. Among the agenda items discussed was the subdivision plan for the property located at 349 W. Cedarville Road. The Board unanimously approved a motion to grant the developer’s timeline extension for the submission and review of a revised plan.
Chairman Jim Marks provided an overview of the proposed development by D.R. Horton, which seeks to establish a townhome community at the site. The applicant expressed the need for additional time to refine their plans and requested a 90-day extension from the Municipal Planning Commission’s (MPC) deadline of July 7, 2023. This extension would allow for a thorough review and consideration of the revised plan until October 7, 2023.
During the meeting, no questions or concerns were raised regarding the extension request. Supervisor Bill Soumis moved to authorize the requested plan extension through October 7, 2023. The motion was seconded by Supervisor Carrie Hipple and carried unanimously by the Board.
The North Coventry Township Board of Supervisors continues to prioritize transparency and open communication throughout the development process. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to actively participate and provide feedback during (yet to be determined) future public Planning Commission meetings related to the subdivision plan.
